What was that note posted on Facebook about your company a few months ago? Increasingly, businesses are looking to archive social media data similar to the way email messages are stored, according to a new report from Framingham-based IDC.
Revenues from social media and message archiving are expected to nearly double between now and 2015 to become a $2 billion international market, IDC predicts.
IDC said 62 percent of businesses already have message archiving, and increasingly, corporations are looking to store social media data that’s searchable within a data storage system.
