Park Avenue music store Jelly’s Discs in Worcester is closing its doors on April 3 after 21 years in business.
The music store, which sells CDs and vinyls, posted its closing date on its website. Founded in 2001, Jelly's specialized in music and movie retail boasting 10,000 feature titles available on DVDs, according to the company’s website. It is one of two shops in Worcester specializing in CDs and vinyls, along with Joe's Albums on Main Street.
Jelly's will be emptying all of its inventory by offering closing sales and selling company furniture and equipment.
The shop is located next to That's Entertainment! comic book store on Park Avenue among a cluster of small businesses. Across the street, custom jewelry shop Neal Rosenblum Goldsmiths Gallery closed in December after 40 years in business. The property was bought by Oriola Koci, owner of the neighboring restaurant Altea's Eatery.
Jelly’s Discs will maintain its regular business hours until its closing date.
The owners of Jelly’s Discs were unavailable for comment on Tuesday morning.
