Computer giant IBM has completed its $1.7-billion acquisition of Marlborough-based Netezza Corp.
Netezza, which makes data storage equipment and analytics, has a longstanding relationship with IBM. The acquisition was announced in late September.
Netezza will become part of IBM’s information management software business. Netezza renewed its lease at 26 Forest St. in Marlborough and expanded to about 86,000 square feet there in late July.
In the last four years, IBM has spent more than $14 billion on 24 acquisitions to expand its analytics capabilities.
