A 16,800-square-foot industrial building in Hudson has been sold for $1.15 million to the owner of a school transportation provider, according to a broker involved in the deal.
The buyer, John McCarthy, of NRT Bus, will use the building at 2 Fox Rd. to help handle his company’s multiple MetroWest school bus contracts, according to a statement from The Stubblebine Co., which represented the seller DRS Power Technologies. McCarthy, who has 11 locations throughout the state, was represented by Joe Aho of O’Brien Commercial Properties.
The single-story industrial building sits on 18.6 acres and was built in 1994. It has 4,000 square feet of office and support area, heavy power, and several large drive-in doors.
