ResTech Plastic Molding of Hudson announced that it acquired TechAtlantic, a custom injection mold company based in Berlin, Conn.
The new entity will operate under the ResTech name at both locations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to ResTech, the acquisition is part of the company’s strategy to expand its manufacturing and TechAtlantic was a good fit because of its similar business culture.
The TechAtlantic acquisition gives ResTech 58 injection molding machines, up from 36. According to ResTech, TechAtlantic serves industries that include fluid filtration systems, medical components, cosmetics, automotive, personal care and electronics.
ResTech Plastic Molding is a result of the merger of Res-Tech Corp. and Plastic Molding Manufacturing three years ago. Its services include full-service molding design and advanced engineering, supporting original equipment manufacturers and emerging high-tech companies in the U.S.
