Hudson-based Adaptive Wireless Solutions has won a contract from the town of Framingham to monitor water levels in areas that are prone to flooding.
The company will use a system of wireless sensors to monitor the areas remotely, according to Wallace Lueders, a sales manager with AWS. He said the company installed a similar system in Brockton.
The goal of the $33,755-sensor system is to immediately alert public works officials when water levels are rising near commercial and residential property. The town will then be able to bring portable pumps to mitigate damage.
The contract is being funded by a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
