United Solutions, a construction software reseller based in Hopkinton, was acquired by Ohio-based Aktion Associates, Inc., according to a May 1 press release from Aktion.
United Solutions has been in business for more than 37 years and provides service and advice to construction companies. It partners with Sage CRE software, a construction and real estate management software, to offer tools for business development, project management, and accounting.
The acquisition resulted in 13 United Solutions employees joining Aktion. Neither the number of United Solutions employees nor the price of the transaction were disclosed.
Aktion, which is a national organization, has acquired several businesses in an effort to improve its service to the construction industry, and expand its presence in the Northeast.
“After 37 years of running United Solutions, I look forward to becoming a member of a larger team, continuing to serve our clients, and finding new construction companies in search of improving their company through our technology, services, and expertise,” United Solutions Owner Greg Kirshe said in a statement.
United Solutions customers will now have access to cloud hosting, managed services, and level one support, Kirshe said in the press release. Along with its Hopkinton headquarters, United Solutions has locations throughout New England and New York.
