In a tradition going back to 1963, President Barack Obama has proclaimed next week as National Small Business Week.
From Wednesday to Friday next week, the U.S. Small Business Administration will hold an event honoring entrepreneurs from around the country and choosing a National Small Business Person of the Year.
As part of the proclamation, the president touted his administration’s new Startup America initiative, which is designed to help entrepreneurs get access to capital and mentoring.
