Hometown Bank of Oxford has received state and federal approvals to open a new branch in Leominster at the entrance to the Mall at Whitney Field, the bank announced.
Hometown plans to open the branch in mid-October. It has begun advertising for employees to staff the new branch, which will be located in a 2,400-square-foot office that was a Rollstone Bank branch, Hometown Bank said.
The space includes a large lobby, three private offices, two customer service stations and a large teller area. Two drive-through lanes will provide access to a drive-up window, an overnight drop-box and an automated teller machine.
“We are absolutely delighted to have received the green light for this project,” President and CEO Michael D. Hewitt said in a statement. “This is a busy location that fits nicely with our goal of serving new customers in the area between our existing branches in Athol and South Lancaster.”
