Hometown Bank of Oxford has purchased a former parking lot at 2 Worcester Rd. in Webster for $450,000.
The bank intends to build a branch office on the 2-acre property, according to Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates Inc., the Worcester-based commercial real estate firm that brokered the sale. The property was put on the market in April and sold last week.
The property is at the corner of Worcester Road (Route 12) and E. Main Street (Route 16). It is paved and was most recently used as a surface parking lot for Cranston Print Works, which no longer has operations in Webster.
