Hometown Bank recently hired a new branch manager and announced changes at its board..
Puzo previously was a business development and sales manager at TD Banknorth in Auburn. She was director and secretary of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, a director of Junior Achievement of Central Mass and recipient of the organization's gold key leadership and all-star volunteer awards
Hometown Bank's board of directors also elected new officers for the coming year and paid tribute to the retiring officers at its annual meeting.
The newly elected officers are: Jeanne L. Katrenak, chair; James O'Coin, vice-chair; Matthew S. Sosik, president, CEO and treasurer; Sam S. Pappas, first vice president and Daniel S. Rovero, second vice president.
Also, the following positions were filled: Jonathan Oglebay, assistant vice president and assistant treasurer; Michael Mahlert, vice president and senior loan officer; John Nutter, assistant vice president and security officer; Norma Collins, assistant vice president of operations and Paula Duhamel, clerk of the board.
Robert Duteau, Windsor Bigelow and Donald Claprood retired from the board and were recognized for their more than 75 years of combined service to the bank.
Duteau joined the bank in 1972 and had served as the bank's president, CEO and chairman and was a member of the loan, security, governance, finance and executive committees. On May 1 he was elected as a director emeritus and transitioned to the role of consultant.
Bigelow joined the board in 1986 and retired on May 28. He had served as vice chairman, second vice president, clerk of the board and chairman of the investment committee. He was also a member of the finance governance, CRA and marketing, loan, security and nominating committees.
Claprood started serving as a director in 1993 and retired along with Bigelow on May 28. During his 16 years on the board, he served as chairman of the CRA and marketing committee, and he was a member of the governance and audit committees.
