Home sales throughout the Bay State saw a strong year-over-year surge in January thanks to favorable weather and a continued strong market, according to a report from The Warren Group.
Single-family home sales in Massachusetts increased by 25 percent year-over-year in January to 3,422. Condo sales were up 29 percent during the same period. The median sale price of single-family homes in the state was down by less than one percent to $320,000, while condo prices were down over three percent to a median of $290,875.
This is a strong start to the year and bodes well entering the strong spring home sale season, according to Cassidy Murphy, editorial director of The Warren Group.
