The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester has unveiled plans for a $92-million arts building with several performance spaces.
The Center for Arts and Creativity will serve as the creative hub of campus, the college said, offering performance and rehearsal programs for the theater and music departments, as well as a new space for the Cantor Art Gallery. It will include a 400-seat concert hall and theater and a 200-seat studio theater.
A small outdoor theater, flexible teaching spaces and a media lab are included in the plans, which were announced on the college website last week.
The building, designed by New York City architecture firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, will be built between the Hogan Campus Center and Luth Athletic Complex. The $95-million athletic complex is scheduled for completion next year.
