Holy Cross will bring college football to the Polar Park baseball stadium this fall when the Crusaders face off against the Colgate University Raiders on Oct. 23.
The game will take place at 6 p.m., with ticket information set to be available next week. Presale tickets will be available for Holy Cross and WooSox season ticket holders beginning June 14.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Red Sox organization to bring the first-ever college football game to Polar Park,” said Marcus Blossom, Holy Cross Director of Athletics, in a release. “One of our strategic objectives as a department is to further the establishment of Holy Cross Athletics within the fabric of Worcester, and this game is another step towards achieving that goal.”
The team will enter the 2021 season, its 126th, having won back-to-back Patriot League titles. In total, the Crusaders have won eight league championships and will return 12 all-conference players to the field this fall.
The game will be televised on Spectrum 1 as well being shown nationally on ESPN+.
