Holy Cross Appoints Director For Religion Center

The College of the Holy Cross has named Thomas M. Landy director of its Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture.

Landy has served as associate director of the center since it began in 2000 and became interim director last summer. As director, he will develop the center's programming and develop projects designed to reach beyond the campus.

Landy is founder and director of the Collegium, a faculty fellows program that sponsors faculty development programs at Catholic colleges. From 2003 to 2008, he was director of Holy Cross's Lily Vocation Discernment Initiative, which sponsors campus programs related to faith.

He has a B.A. in history from Fairfield University, an M.A. in international relations from the University of Chicago, an M.Div. from the Weston School of Theology and a Ph.D. in sociology from Boston University.
