Hologic Inc. of Bedford attributes a 138 increase in first-quarter revenues primarily to new product lines acquired in its merger with Marlborough-based Cytyc Corp. in October.
The company’s revenues rose from $181 million for the first quarter of 2007 to $431 million for the same quarter this year. The company said it gained $189.2 million in revenue from Cytyc product lines.
Hologic’s net income for the quarter also rose dramatically, to $56 million from $21.6 million for the same period last year.
Hologic develops and manufactures diagnostic and medical imaging systems.
