Bedford-based medical device manufacturer Hologic Inc., which has operations in Marlborough, lost $137 million during its fourth quarter on revenue of $428.3 million.
The revenue figure represents a 6.3-percent increase over the same period a year ago. The loss follows a $24.6-million profit.
The company said the loss was the result of non-cash charges totaling $571 million related to amortization of intangible assets, litigation, goodwill impairments and restructuring.
For the full fiscal year, Hologic reported a loss of $62.8 million on revenue of $1.68 billion.
For the prior year, the company lost $2.2 billion on revenue of $1.64 billion.
