A growing Chicago-based insurance brokerage has acquired a Holliston-based agency, the brokerage announced Monday.
MetroWest Insurance Group and Doctors Insurance Services of New England Inc (DISNE) are now part of Hub International Limited. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. MetroWest and DISNE, founded in 1986, employ seven at offices in Holliston and North Hampton, N.H.
DISNE provides insurance to health care organizations and providers while MetroWest works outside the health care industry.
Dan Nissi, DISNE’s president, will join Hub as president of healthcare solutions for Hub’s New England division, according to a statement from Hub International. That division is based in Wilmington.
Taryn Siciliano, a spokeswoman for Hub International, said a rebranding of MetroWest and DISNE to Hub International will take place within 90 days. The acquisition, she said, helps Hub expand its reach in the region. It comes nearly a year after Hub acquired FieldEddy Insurance of East Longmeadow, Siciliano said.
