HMEA, the Franklin nonprofit whose mission is to provide services for people with developmental disabilities, has hired its new president and CEO from within.
Jule Gomes Noack, the agency’s president and chief operating officer, will start her new job leading HMEA in July.
Noack joined the charity in 1987 as clinical coordinator. Since then, she has worked in or managed nearly every program and administrative role within the organization.
She succeeds Michael Moloney, who has served as CEO since 2000. Under Moloney’s leadership, the agency said it has grown to provide services to more than 5,000 people of all ages, up from 500.
Moloney will remain with the organization serving as executive vice president. His total compensation as CEO was listed as $285,222 in 2018, according to the most recent information from Guidestar, a provider of data on nonprofits.
For the past 13 years, Noack has served on HMEA’s executive leadership team and as president and COO since 2013. In that role, she has led the agency’s quality, learning and performance department, focused on ensuring service quality, improving staff development, and measuring performance throughout the organization, HMEA said.
She has championed the development of HMEA’s diversity initiative, which promotes a culture of inclusion as HMEA employees come from more than 38 different countries.
Noack is the third CEO in the 58-year history of the organization.
HMEA declined to provide her age or new salary. In 2018, she earned $218,786 in total compensation, according to Guidestar.
