The Grafton Inn, built in 1805 on Grafton Common, was sold to a Worcester investor, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds.
The property sale was for $1 million, according to the Worcester District Registry of Deeds, and the total sale was for $1.2 million, including the two businesses at the site, The Grafton Inn and Hunters Grille & Tap at the Grafton Inn, said James Kalogeropoulos of RE/MAX Partners in Worcester, who brokered the deal.
The second floor contains a 120-seat function hall, and the third floor is a seven-room inn.
The seller was JJH Investments Inc. of Whitinsville, registered to James Hunter. Hunter purchased the inn in 2015 for $800,000. Hunter did not respond to an email seeking comment.
The buyer was These Guys Assets LLC of Worcester, registered to Michael Shi according to records filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Restaurateur and real estate investor Weidong “Wilson” Wang and Tai Cheng are affiliated with the purchasing entity, said Kalogeropoulos.
Kalogeropoulos previously brokered the sale of 416 Main St. in Worcester, the former location of tobacconist The Owl Shop, the former Harding Tire location, and the former Harding Glass location in Worcester's Canal District.
The Grafton Inn property at 25 Grafton Common is assessed by the Town of Grafton at $931,700.
