Herb Chambers seeks approval for Mercedes-Benz dealership in Sudbury

The Herb Chambers auto dealership chain is seeking permission to open a Mercedes-Benz dealership at 141 Boston Post Road in Sudbury, near a small cluster of pre-existing Herb-Chambers dealerships.
A public hearing is set to take place at a virtual Zoning Board of Appeals meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday.
The space was previously home to a now-closed sports and health club, Bosse Sports and Health Club, which closed in 2020 after regulations surrounding the coronavirus pandemic forced such facilities to close to customers temporarily.
The proposed dealership will include sales, leasing and service facilities, according to an application before the board.
The property is owned by Herb Chambers 43 Braintree LLC, and was last sold for $10.7 million in January 2021. The Town of Sudbury assessed the property at $7.7 million in 2021.
