Heisman Trophy winner to visit Worcester cannabis dispensary

Ricky Williams, winner of the 1998 Heisman Trophy and cannabis advocate, will be at Worcester’s Major Bloom dispensary on Sunday to sign autographs and meet fans.
Williams launched his own cannabis brand, Highsman, in 2021. The brand aims to provide communities of sports fans and herb enthusiasts everywhere with a platform to own their relationship with cannabis, according to its website.
Throughout his NFL career, Williams was suspended multiple times for cannabis use, after which point he became an advocate for cannabis products as an alternative to pharmaceuticals, according to a release from Major Bloom.
Williams won the Heisman Trophy as a senior at the University of Texas before being drafted to the New Orleans Saints. He was then traded to the Miami Dolphins and later signed with the Baltimore Ravens.
