Hebert Candies, which has been under new ownership since last year, plans to relocate 18 full-time employees to its candy mansion headquarters in Shrewsbury.
Sheila Shechtman, CEO of Hartford-Conn.-based American Gourmet Group—which now counts Hebert among its subsidiaries—told the Worcester Business Journal recently that the move will happen in May.
The employees are part of American Gourmet's management and gift basket operations teams. Those employees have been working in two separate locations in the Hartford area, and Shechtman said she wants to bring them under one roof.
The chocolate and candy retailer has plans to grow its corporate gifting and private label business as well as add a lunch menu at the mansion, at 575 Hartford Tpke.
