Heart laser co. reports small gains

PLC Medical Systems Inc. of Franklin reported fourth quarter net income of $36,000 on revenue of $1.7 million.
In the fourth quarter of 2005, the company reported a net loss of $397,000 on revenue of $1.8 million.
PLC's total net income for 2006 was $1.3 million on revenue of $7.1 million compared to a net loss of $1.3 million on revenue of $7.6 million in 2005.
PLC Systems is a medical technology company that specializes in the cardiac and vascular markets. According to the company, PLC pioneered the CO2 heart laser, the first angina relief device approved by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Japanese Ministry of Health.
