A healthcare staffing firm will relocate its Worcester office to occupy more than 14,000 square feet of the Mercantile Center on Front Street.
Barton Associates, headquartered in Peabody, will move from its Worcester location on Prescott Street to the fourth floor of 120 Front St. in Worcester this spring, said Franklin Realty Advisors, the developers of the $70-million, two-building office and retail complex.
The locations are about one mile apart.
The firm will be one of the largest tenants in the recently renovated nine-story building with more than 130 employees, said Chip Norton in a press release, president of Franklin Realty Advisors.
Other tenants in the building include People’s United Bank , Location, Inc., Nationwide Insurance and commercial real estate firm Kelleher & Sadowsky.
"We are excited to relocate our Worcester office to a vibrant downtown environment, close to new retail, residences and entertainment, “ said Robert O'Hara, chief financial officer at Barton Associates. “For us, it's an important step in our long-term growth."
