The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts has named two new members to its Board of Directors.
Randall V. Becker, the former chief financial officer of MAPFRE U.S.A. Corp., and Dr. Dennis M. Dimitri were elected as directors, according to a Jan. 20 statement.
Becker retired in 2016 and serves as selectman for the town of Webster. Dimitri is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He served as president of the Massachusetts Medical Society from 2015 to 2016 and ran a private practice in Worcester for nearly 25 years.
The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts awards grants to improve the health of those who live and work in the region. The organization has assets of $65 million and has awarded about $36 million in grants since its founding in 1999.
