Harvard Pilgrim names chief actuary

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, one of the state’s top health insurers with a significant presence in central Massachusetts, has named Daniel J. Rachfalski vice president and chief actuary.

 

Rachfalski joins Harvard Pilgrim from Independence Blue Cross, where he was vice president of actuarial services. Before that, he worked as corporate senior actuary at Coventry Health Care and in senior positions at Cigna. 

 

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of business and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
