Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, building on a multi-year partnership with the Red Sox, will collaborate with the Worcester Red Sox to install an urban garden on the second deck of the third base concourse at the Polar Park baseball stadium in the Canal District, the Wellesley company announced on Wednesday.

Dubbed WooSox Farms, food grown in the garden is planned for use in farmer’s markets, ballpark dining and other community uses not specified. The garden will be maintained by the Regional Environmental Council of Worcester. Children from Worcester nonprofit Youth Grow will tend to the gardens.

City Manager Edward Augustus described the initiative as a creative partnership, in a statement.

“I am proud of the city’s corporate citizenry and the role they play in raising the standards of living in Worcester,” Augustus said.
