Harvard concrete company expands into Ayer

An affiliate of Harvard-based North Atlantic Concrete purchased a 4.75 acre lot in Ayer for $1 million.

The site was previously used by Burnham Transport Corp., according to a May press release from Aho Properties. President Joel Aho represented the seller in the transaction, completed on May 22.

The property is assessed by the town of Ayer for $242,000, and was owned by the Burnham family since the 1950’s according to the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds.

North Atlantic Concrete was founded in 2007. Its projects include the North Shore Mall in Peabody, the Ayer commuter rail parking garage, and Sage at Hudson, an assisted-living and independent-living apartment complex in Hudson, according to the company’s website.
