Hartford office cleaners reject contract proposals

Efforts have stalled again in an ongoing attempt to negotiate contracts for Hartford office cleaners. Local 32BJ rejected cleaning companies’ contract proposals because they fall short of covering health care costs and basic raises for Hartford janitors, who clean more than 90 percent of downtown Hartford’s large commercial office space. This is the third meeting for both parties. Negotiations began on October 23.
