Emmy award-winning comedian Paula Poundstone, a star panelist on NPR’s weekly news quiz show “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me,” will perform a comedy show on April 1 in Southbridge. The event will be Harrington HealthCare’s major fundraiser in 2017, the Southbridge-based healthcare system announced Wednesday.
The event, “An Elegant Evening of Laughter with Paula Poundstone,” will take place at 6 p.m. at the Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center. Proceeds will be used to fund mental health and substance abuse disorder services through Harrington Recovery Services, as well as renovations at Harrington’s Southbridge Emergency Department, according to Harrington.
