A company registered to Worcester-based Harr Motor Group President Michael Gross purchased the former home of Regional Builders in the Greendale neighborhood of Worcester for $825,000.
The 5,000-square-foot warehouse building at 6 Eames Road was sold by SLC Realty Trust and belonged to long-time Regional Builders President and Owner Stephen Lemon, who retired.
The transaction was recorded by the Worcester District Registry of Deeds on Monday. The seller was represented by Tim Whittredge, vice president of Worcester brokerage firm NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs.
The buyer, represented by NAI Glickman Principal Mike Jacobs, was MG Eames Realty, of Worcester, which is registered to Gross. He is not revealing his intentions for the property publicly, Jacobs said.
The property is in the thick of a wave of development in the neighborhood. It is near the new luxury apartment complex, The Kiln on Brooks Street; the new logistics center being built at the former location of the Showcase Cinemas Worcester North on Brooks Street, and what will be a redeveloped portion of the former Saint-Gobain property, which the Worcester Business Development Corp. plans on preparing for large-scale manufacturing development.
