The Hanover Insurance Group has expanded its fidelity and crime insurance offerings to help protect businesses against high-tech and employee fraud, the Worcester-based insurer reported Wednesday.
The Hanover's new Fidelity & Crime Advantage coverage program offers more flexible coverage options that can be built to the client’s needs and cover client's property, personal accounts, computer and ID fraud, as well as claim and data restoration investigative expenses, according to the company.
"Businesses today are increasingly susceptible to fraud in this high tech environment, and in particular to fraud committed by corrupt employees or employees who are manipulated by others," Jeffrey Gordon, vice president of fidelity and crime at The Hanover, said in a statement. "Our new, comprehensive solution for fidelity and crime insurance helps our independent agents protect their business clients from financial losses due to fraud involving their employees and others."
