The acquisition marks the company’s first expansion to Worcester and Central Massachusetts, according to the announcement posted to the Paragus account on Facebook on June 21.

“We’re very excited about this acquisition,” says Paragus CEO Delcie Bean, in a press release. “Entering the Worcester market is something we’ve been strategically planning. This is a perfect opportunity to do it with an excellent company with a great crew and a strong client base.”

As part of the acquisition, Paragus plans to open a Worcester office in the fall at a location not yet formally announced. Comportz employees, Paragus said, have been working remotely for most of the pandemic.

Comportz specializes in outsourced sourced IT services, cybersecurity and other tech services for small and medium-sized businesses. Paragus works in the same market, according to the announcement.
