The Worcester chapter of Habitat for Humanity has hired Debbi Moore as the manager for its new "ReStore," at 7 Gold St., Worcester.
The retail business accepts new or gently used donations of building materials, appliances and non-upholstered furniture and re-sells them to the public at reduced prices.
The profits go directly to Habitat for Humanity, which partners with families in need of affordable housing.
Moore has a bachelor's degree in business management with a concentration in financial management and computers. She has worked in retail for Eastern Mountain Sports for 10 years and prior to that as a software engineer and project manager.
Moore plans to expand ReStore operations with outreach for donations, educating on reuse and recycling and volunteer recruitment.
