Framingham-based Gulf Oil LP is set to expand its brand nationwide thanks to an agreement with Chevron USA.
Gulf had been limited to market its brand in only 11 states, mostly in the Northeast. Gulf’s parent company, Cumberland Farms Inc., however, purchased the full rights, title and interest of the Gulf brand from Chevron for an undisclosed amount. That move will allow Gulf to expand its brand across the entire country.
Gulf operates more than 2,000 branded gas stations and supplies gasoline, heating oil, jet fuel and kerosene.
