Groton Biosystems signs co-marketing agreement

Groton Biosystems LLC, a Boxboro-based developer of online and laboratory process sterile monitoring solutions, has signed an agreement with Agilent Technologies Inc. to co-market solutions for the Process Analytical Technology Initiative (PAT).

PAT is a system for designing, analyzing, and controlling manufacturing by measuring critical quality and performance attributes of raw and in-process materials and processes.  The initiative aims to ensure final product quality.

The agreement is expected to expand to Europe and ASIA in the near future, and terms of the agreement call for Santa Clara, CA-based Agilent and Groton Biosystems to jointly market 1200 Series HPLC solutions with Groton Biosystems' Automated Reactor Sampling ARS Series Online Process Autosampling products within the U.S. and Canada.  Both companies will also be responsible for product presentations, trade show participation, and customer events.

The agreement is expected to benefit biopharmaceutical customers who tend to prefer in-process and final product testing in a variety of production segments and who are looking for state-of-the-art online sampling with HPLC analysis for quality-related decision making.
