Banks in Grafton and Webster plan to close branches, according to a state Division of Banks November activity report.
The division approved an application for Grafton Suburban Credit Union to close a branch office at 898 Grafton St. in Worcester.
The division is also considering an application from Webster Five Cents Savings Bank to close a branch office at 290 Main St. in Webster. The comment period for the Webster Five application closed Nov. 27 and a decision by the division is pending.
The Webster Five branch at 290 Main St. is about a mile from the bank’s main office at 136 Thompson Rd. and less than 2 miles from another of the bank’s branch offices in Webster.
