Milford developer D&F Afonso Builders has been given the go-ahead to pursue plans to develop a 15-acre parcel along Westboro Road and Institute Road in North Grafton, according to a Thursday press release.
The Grafton Planning Board last reviewed the proposal at its July 27 meeting.
The plans for the development from D&F call for 105 housing units spread over five buildings, with retail in the first floor of two of the buildings, according to the plans filed with the the town.
Gorman Richardson Lewis Architects in Hopkinton has been responsible for site and building location planning, as well as schematic building and unit design for five three-story buildings slated for the site.
Two of the buildings will have first floor office and retail spaces, totalling 14,000 square feet, according to GRLA. Two floors of one and two-bedroom apartments will be installed above.
The remaining three buildings will be all residential.
A common park area and parking are also included in the design. GRLA plans for construction to begin this fall, and expects the buildings to be ready for occupancy by Fall 2021.
