The state’s top politico will soon be visiting Worcester, as Gov. Maura Healey will be the keynote speaker at the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly breakfast club event on March 7.
The event, held at AC Hotel by Marriott Worcester, will begin at 7 a.m. Healey’s speech will outline her administration’s plan to bolster economic growth in the commonwealth, according to the chamber.
In her State of the Commonwealth address in January, Healey outlined a number of steps she would like to see Massachusetts take to spur economic growth, including initiating new climate-tech programs, increasing funding for transportation infrastructure, and encouraging more investment in life science companies.
Healey visited Worcester in November, when she took a tour of the newly-constructed Courthouse Lofts to tout the state’s $4-billion Affordable Homes Act, which seeks to foster the creation, preservation and modernization of up to 70,000 housing units throughout the state.Â
