‘Gossip Girl’: OK for TV, not office

Nobody likes a brash employee in the cube next door, or a slacker, for that matter. But 29 percent of office dwellers reportedly work with someone who is rude or unprofessional on the job, according to a survey by OfficeTeam. Of the nearly 550 office employees age 18 and older surveyed, 23 percent felt their managers did little to quell the disruptive employees. The most common types of difficult workers included the belittler, the credit thief, the saboteur, the rumormonger and the slacker. OfficeTeam’s cure: don’t act like the offender.
