Foxwoods Resort Casino already dominates East Coast gambling. Now it wants to take on the West Coast. The Foxwoods Development Co., owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Nation, says it will build and manage a new $300 million casino on the reservation of the Pauma Band of Mission Indians in San Diego County, California. The project proposes a 500-room hotel, 2,000 slot machines and 50 gaming tables. In addition, the gaming resort will include an entertainment venue, retail stores, and a variety of restaurants, from fast-food eateries to fine dining establishments.
