GlassHouse CEO Switch

Framingham data center company GlassHouse Technologies has named Patrick Scannell as CEO, replacing Mark Shirman, who the company said has stepped down.

Scannell previously served as CFO and senior vice president of Marlborough-based Netezza, which was sold to IBM last year. He also serves on GlassHouse's Board of Directors.

Before taking a role at Netezza, Scannell helped another technology company, Silknet, through an initial public offering and sale to KANA. GlassHouse has announced plans for its own IPO, but has been repeatedly delayed by difficult market conditions.
