Gardner-based GFA Federal Credit Union is celebrating the opening of its first Leominster location.
The 866 Merriam Ave. facility opened April 1 and is a relocation of the credit union's Fitchburg branch, GFA said.
The branch has a 24-hour, drive-up ATM and a night deposit drop, and members can get a cup of coffee during lobby hours.
"As a not-for-profit cooperative credit union, we have our member's interest as our mission and focus. Our decision to relocate our Fitchburg branch was to provide easier access to our members," said President and CEO Tina M. Sbrega.
Sbrega said the credit union also expanded its hours to Sunday and the Leominster branch is open seven days a week. GFA also eight other locations in Ashburnham, Gardner, Hubbardston, Rutland, Winchendon, and Peterborough and Rindge, N.H.
Lisciotti Development, NES Group, DRL Architects and FW Madigan developed the site.
