South Windsor-based Gerber Scientific Inc. has appointed Michael R. Elia executive vice president and chief financial officer effective April 15.
Elia most recently served as CFO of Ohio-based The Frank Gates Cos., a specialty service provider for the insured and alternative risk marketplace. Before that position, he was senior vice president and CFO of FastenTech Inc., a producer of engineered components and specialty fasteners.
Elia is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor of science degree in financial accounting from the University of New Haven and a master’s degree in business administration from Duke University.
