George’s Coney Island in Worcester has temporarily closed after one of its staff members reported a close contact had tested positive for coronavirus, the restaurant announced Wednesday on Facebook.
So far, no staff members have tested positive for the virus, according to the announcement, which is attributed to Kathryn Tsandikos, who runs the restaurant. The restaurant closed to allow for cleaning, and to provide time for staff members to get tested.
“We will have more updates on when we will reopen as we receive the test results and consider our options,” Tsandikos said.
