The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center today announced a $6.6 million grant to support the newest construction in Worcester’s Gateway Park.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute is the official recipient of the grant. The money will go toward supporting the Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center, a 10,000-square-foot facility within Gateway Park.
The grant is expected to leverage an estimated $25 million in private financing for the project and support 120 construction jobs and 142 new permanent jobs.
