Massachusetts gas prices jumped by 14 cents this week, to a $3.449 average for self-serve regular, according to AAA Southern New England.
That’s six cents below the national average but way up from the same time last year, when the Massachusetts average price was $2.68.
Prices rose 17 cents the previous week.
The current state average self-serve price for premium gas in Massachusetts is $3.669, and for diesel it’s $3.919.
