Following a 7-cent dip last week – the first drop since July – gas prices are rising again, bumping up a penny this week, according to AAA Southern New England.
The average price of self-serve, regular unleaded in Massachusetts is up to $3.84 per gallon, AAA said. Their range is 47 cents, from a low of $3.59 per gallon to a high of $4.06.
Prices in the area are up 8 cents in the past month and are 6 cents above the national average.
A year ago, the average gas price in the state was $3.45.
The average cost of diesel fuel dropped one cent, to $4.09 per gallon.
