Gasoline prices dropped 9 cents in Massachusetts this week, marking the second week of downward movement after a month of steadily rising prices.
Prices are still seven cents higher than they were a month before, at an average of $2.32 per gallon across the state, according to AAA Northeast. The Massachusetts average price was $1.20 higher a year ago, at $3.52.
Prices had been steadily dropping until a turnaround in February that was caused by refinery problems, according to a separate report from GasBuddy.com. The price in Massachusetts is still 10 cents below the national average, according to AAA Northeast.
